2012 MAC Outlook Conference

Posted: Feb 16, 2012

We would again like to thank all of our 2012 MAC Outlook Conference attendees.  It is our hope you found the event worth your time, and were able to head back to the farm with valuable insight. This year’s event was held at a new location, Hawk Hallow Banquet Center in Bath, MI.  The event drew the largest crowd in conference history with over 160 producers from across the state of Michigan joining to listen to industry experts.

As our headline speaker, John Phipps provided an interesting look at major world events in the past 10 years that have major implications to the dynamics of the market place.  The effect of these “Black Swan” events is the development of an “anything can happen attitude”.  As players in this market we must constantly work to establish trust, but also always prepare ourselves for those “unthinkable” events.  Jim Byrum, Darin Newsom, and Peter Johnson each spoke at this year’s conference updating our attendees on politics, price projections, and practices to increase our wheat crop productivity.   We have posted all four presentations below. Please feel free to access these presentations but we request proper accreditation to its authors, and the content not be changed.  If you have any questions for MAC or any of our speakers you may contact info@michag.com, and we will be happy to assist you.

We would love to hear your feedback on the conference, please email your thoughts to info@michag.com.   Also, check back to this page for updates on our 2013 MAC Outlook Conference.  We hope to see you there.
