MAC Receives Safety Award
The MAC workers comp insurance company, Victus Insurance Ltd, is exclusive to the agricultural industry. There are 81 companies in the group, and at their get together in late March, MAC was presented the “Gold Award of Excellence.” MAC accumulated the highest aggregate point total. Grading factors included plant inspections, risk assessment, low loss histories, and low number of injuries.
Safety has long been a key priority across all MAC facilities. This award showcases the outcome of the dedicated effort and time the MAC team puts in to make our locations as safe as possible. Individuals that are helping drive the MAC safety program on the ground at local facilities include Brandon Lidster, Taylor Fischer, Andrew Greenhoe, Katie Derks, Mike Federspiel, Madysen Eady, and Jim Shepler.
Ted Tucker, MAC Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer was in attendance at the gathering and was able to accept the award for the company. “Congratulations really need to go out to our Safety Director, Chuck Kunisch, each of our Facility Safety Coordinators, and the entire MAC team. It’s their effort to keep safety in the forefront of all we do that resulted in our being at the top,” Ted said.
