Meet Karen Warner!

Karen has been with MAC for 9 years in October. She is a Senior Grain Merchant, working out of our Brown City facility. Karen has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Northern Michigan University and when Karen started at MAC in 2012, she was the scale operator. She worked her way to become the Grain Merchant in the spring of 2014.

Working at MAC allows Karen to meet new people and work with the great farmers in the area – both of which she loves. She’s gained a lot of great friendships over her 9 years.

Karen grew up on a crop farm, today she lives on a crop farm and also works closely with crop farmers. This gives her a unique perspective at her job, since she sees many angles of the ag industry. By far, her favorite time of year working in agriculture is harvest time. She gets to see all of the customers in the office and it’s just a really fun, busy time!

Outside of work, Karen and her husband have a 4 year old daughter and a 9 month old son who keep her busy. They farm in the Yale area, raising soybeans and red wheat. She loves spending time with her family and living in Michigan gives her many opportunities to do activities with them – anything outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking and swimming. If you’re looking to grab lunch with her, don’t be surprised if she orders her favorite sandwich: chicken salad.
