COVID-19 Response from MAC
MAC continues to actively monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Employee and customer safety is always a top priority and remains so in the face of this new challenge. As a result, it is imperative we keep sharing important information with you.
What MAC is doing to Protect Customers & Each Other:
- It is important to note MAC remains open for business!
- We will continue to be available to support our customers. We’ll say it again: MAC remains open!
- We will continue to accept grain deliveries.
- We will continue to ship grain to meet end-user demand.
- We remain ready to provide a full range of agronomy services as needed.
- We are implementing best practices to help protect everyone. You are our friends, family, customers and we’re all in this together.
- Our goal remains to provide quality service to our customers.
- However, out of caution, our staff will be limiting in-person interactions during this time. If you have a business need that requires an in-person visit, please let us know and we’ll see how we can accommodate.
- In today’s environment of mobile communication we are readily available for calls, texts, or e-mails.
- If you haven’t downloaded our app, this is a great time to do so to help track your account information from home!
- Our facilities remain open. As a best practice, we will avoid shaking hands and maintain a minimum of 6 feet of distance whenever possible.
- Before entering one of our locations, please review these questions to ensure we all stay safe and healthy.
- Some of our locations are adding additional precautions for truck drivers, requesting they remain in their vehicle. Take notice of posted signs or feel free to call our locations for more information.
- In order to reduce potential for COVID-19 exposure related to truck drivers who may be visiting multiple locations or have unknown contacts with the virus, we have adjusted our process for giving drivers paperwork in Breckenridge to limit driver and scale operator contact:
- Our scale operator will no longer pass paperwork for drivers to sign.
- Instead, the operator will get the drivers name when they scale in, print their name on the signature line, and hand completed paperwork to the driver.
- Help us help you! Friendly reminders if you need to visit one of our facilities here.
- We have implemented specific precautions related to agronomy. Full details can be found here.
- The latest science shows the use of cloth face masks are a critical tool in reducing this virus spread. Learn more from the CDC here.
- Masks have been provided to all employees and will be worn in any situation where 6 feet or more of spacing is unable to be maintained from another person.
- All customers, vendors, contractors and visitors must wear a mask while inside our office, receiving areas and while interacting with MAC employees (as directed by Executive Order No. 2020-147)
- The requirement to wear a mask does not apply to those who cannot medically tolerate a face covering.
- We appreciate your support and understanding on this as we work to safely continue operations.
- We continue to clean AND disinfect frequently touched surfaces in all locations, such as doorknobs.
- Tissues and hand sanitizer (containing at least 60% alcohol) are available at all our locations, as well as trash receptacles.
- As always, our team is continuing good hygiene practices, including covering nose and mouth with a bent elbow or tissue when coughing or sneezing (and disposing of the tissue immediately); washing hands right after.
- Our goal remains to provide quality service to our customers.
- Symptoms of COVID-19 may appear in as few as two days or as long as 14 days after exposure. Common symptoms include: fever, cough, shortness of breath; other symptoms can be found here. If you are experiencing any symptoms, please stay home. We’ll be happy to help you remotely.
Steps to Protect Yourself:
- Wash your hands often! With soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Pick your team and sing the fight song – both MSU or U of M will get you to the 20 second mark!
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
- Maintain distance (6 feet minimum) from others
- Wear a mask whenever you are near others
- Avoid using other peoples phones or personal items when possible
- It’s not too early to start making plans to get a flu vaccine
