Meet MAC Monday: Jennifer Ewalt
Meet Jennifer Ewalt!
Jennifer has been at our Middleton location for nine years and is currently the Office Manager. Before joining MAC, she worked at Michigan One Community Credit Union for around eight years. Originally, Jennifer had plans to be a science teacher but she decided that teaching wasn’t going to be for her. Instead, she earned a B.S. from Central Michigan University, majoring in Earth Science and minoring in Geography.
When asked, Jennifer said her favorite part of working at MAC is that every season is different. The focus changes from season to season, so it helps make it so it doesn’t feel like she’s doing the same thing all the time. She also says that our customers are great to work with. Jennifer feels like everyone in Middleton meshes and gets along pretty well, so that makes it nice to come to work. They laugh a lot!
Jennifer has been married to her husband, Josh, for 19 years and together they have a small farm. They raise a few steers for freezer beef, along with chickens that she loves (she finds it so relaxing to watch them in the yard.) Her daughter also recently added a couple goats, Doris and Delilah, who are a lot of fun. Speaking of kids, Jennifer has a 17-year-old Senior daughter, Paige, and a 14-year-old Freshman son, Peyton. Both are active in sports, so usually after work you’ll find her as the rowdy mom cheering everyone on at a sporting event somewhere.
Jennifer’s favorite place in Michigan is the U.P. and she loves pretty much everything about it! Her family usually goes camping north of Newberry for a week every summer, last year she did the Pictured Rocks kayaking tour with her sister-in-law and a group of friends, and she intends to hike the trail from the upper to lower falls at Tahquamenon at some point. In general, Jennifer also loves fall in Michigan – when it’s still warm-ish but not quite like summer.
