Prices are falling for summer fertilizer!

Fertility and protection for any crop is critical to its success. High yielding crops also result in higher removal rates, as shown below for removal rates of nutrients per ton of DM in alfalfa or hay.

Alfalfa can use up to 75 pounds of potassium (K) per ton of dry matter and is important to plant growth and stand longevity, among other things. Boron deficiency in alfalfa also causes many symptoms, seen in this picture. As the deficiency develops, it causes the plant to shorten, eventually making the growing plant dormant (or die), impacting yield.

Our alfalfa hay program is a potash with boron application, helping curb these deficiencies and supporting high quality growth.

When it comes to corn, nitrogen applications are critical to yield outcomes. Nitrification rates can have a large impact on overall nitrogen usage by the crop. As seen below, including Anvol in a urea application can have a large impact on nitrification time. Find more information on Anvol here.

Making a urea with Anvol application is only the first step. Our MAC team is also equipped to use a narrow tire machine for your side dress application to ensure crops aren’t damaged. With a full array of crop input and protection products, we’re here to ensure your crops are well-cared for and prepared to be your partner.

Our team is ready to provide expert customer application for your farm through our package promo for sidedress nitrogen and alfalfa applications. Contact our agronomy team or Middleton location for more information.
