Meet MAC Monday: Stacey Dickman
Meet Stacey Dickman!
After attending Central Michigan University, Stacey started as the Facility Accountant in Middleton in April of 1994 giving her over 30 years of experience at MAC! She was promoted to her current role of Accounting Manager in January of 2000. The majority of the time, you can find Stacey in her office at Middleton, but she also has a permanent desk in Lansing.
If you asked Stacey, her favorite part of working for MAC is the people and the fact that grain accounting is never boring – each year brings something new and different! She likes the fact that the grain industry is an ever changing entity. You never know what the markets or weather conditions are going to bring and that keeps the job interesting. On the flip side, she may not be able to tell you her favorite time of year or favorite thing about working in ag, but rather her least favorite part: the yearly audit we conduct annually in July.
Outside of work, Stacey has two adult children. Interestingly, her daughter, Masia, and son, Caleb, both work for the same company in different positions and locations. She attends Resurrection Life Church in St. Louis, where she enjoys singing on the Praise & Worship team. In what spare time she has, Stacey enjoys reading, going to the movies in winter, and being by the water in the summer. She lives in the house she grew up in which has a pool and her best friend lives on a lake, so she’s got her bases covered!
With a love for the water, Stacey would say that Mackinac Island is probably her favorite Michigan destination, closely followed by pretty much any beach. We’re glad Stacey has chosen to make MAC her career home. If you’re looking to find out further information, you might be able to persuade her to share some more if you show up with one of what she says are the two major food groups: cheese and chocolate!
