Meet Greg Weingartz!

It’s been almost two years since Greg joined the MAC team in the thumb. He started as an Assistant Manager and this month officially became the Facility Manager at our Marlette/Brown City locations. Greg came with a long list of strong experience covering a variety of roles, including having been the Brine Mining Superintendent at Cargill and a Facilities Engineer with Axalta Coating Systems. He also has a B.S. in Environmental Conservation from Northern Michigan University.

Since Greg has been at MAC, his favorite part is the flexibility, family atmosphere, and the customers (he’d even tell you his favorite thing about working in ag is the customer interactions.) His transition to manager aligns with his favorite time of the year – fall – which he enjoys due to the cooler weather and leaves changing. These days, Greg is most looking forward to continuing working with the customers in the area that he grew up in.

When he’s off the clock, you’ll find Greg keeping busy with his family as he and his wife, Alana, have three children – daughter Emerson (8), son Braden (6), and daughter Abigail (3). He also enjoys fishing, hunting, and anything to get outdoors. Recently, Greg started coaching softball as well and has really enjoyed that experience.

If you’re looking to learn more, you might try striking up a conversation about the UP – specifically the area he really enjoys (Marquette) due to his time spent there during college. Or, if you’re looking for some great food, he might be able to offer some tips or stories about successes off his smoker. Either way, we’re so glad he’s part of our team and sure think he’s worth getting to know!
